Sleeping in a Man's Bed

Never dream alone. That’s my motto.

I have finally finalized a plan of how to decorate my room! I could not be more excited. The first picture is my inspiration. Since my boyfriend has finally come around to the idea of me painting the apartment bright electric blue [Carrie Bradshaw apartment makeover], I am designing the bedroom with a masculine feel. When you go to sleep, you want to feel cozy, warm, and in the arms of a man. SO, I am making my room feel like a man’s room.

With espresso colored velvet drapes covering the entire wall behind the bed, it will immediately feel warm [Let’s face it people. I live in Boston: the coolest place during winter]. With the help of Pottery Barn, I will use their frame risers to protrude oversized black and white photos behind the bed. Under the large [very high, which means little light] windows, I will place mirror the same size under it, so when the matching table lamps are on, the light will reflect the whole room. Brilliant!

That’s all I have for now. I’ll show ya when it’s done.

Ash.

Summer Shopping. Part II

What a successful day.

I’m adding a Part II to Summer Weather = Shopping; or more of “results”. After an hour at Alex and Ani, Kathleen and I found some fabulous pieces! Including this bracelet with dangling chains [inspiration=Taylor Tomasi Hill]. Kathleen found different ones around the store making a perfect tribal inspired set. I also found this ring with a charm that says FIRE. Love it.

Zara was too far, but luckily Jonathan Adler was right next door. I found the most amazing silver metallic pouf. It is absolutely the perfect extra seat. Kathleen thought this banana flower holder was adorable, as did I. Now, it has a home next to my Pottery Barn frame [which I got on sale].

Perfect day. Xo,

Ash.

Summer Weather = Shopping

I would rather spend all my money on clothing, shoes and jewelry than anything. When my eye sees something ahmazing, two things happen: 1) I immediately obsess. 2) I do anything anything anything to get it.

Summer time has FINALLY arrived in Boston, and so far I have yet to experienced it [I just got all four of my wisdom teeth out. I’m dying for solid food and to not look like my face is in a fat suit]. Alas, the swelling in my puffy cheeks has gone down and I’m ready to embrace the town with cash in my pocket and a fashion on my mind [like it ever leaves].

With my sister in town, I will be taking her to Alex and Ani, a jewelry store where you create the perfect bangle set, however how you like it. I bought her a few for her birthday and I’m happy to take her back and add to her collection. Next stop, Zara. After scrolling through their online lookbook, I am more than inspired and want to grab a couple key pieces that will bring my summer wardrobe moving.

P.S. I just moved into my new apartment not long ago and cannot wait to start sharing pics soon!

Xo,

Ash.
