Mini-Me

     Recently I had come across the Instagram account for Michelle Baron. She is an extremely talented artist, who does customized illustrations for people.  I was amazed by her talent and illustrations I saw, so she agreed to create a personalized illustration of me for the blog! After I went through her website (here)  and saw all of her work, I absolutely loved them. The process was extremely easy and fast. She looked at photots of me and studied what makes me me. A week later she sent me multiple different ideas she had gatehred, and then from there we picked the best one. Her detail on each of the pieces was phenomenal I was so impressed with how she chose to portray me. Starbucks cup, hand on hip, and lots of jewelery made the photo even more me!

    I highly recommend looking into her work, and contacting her if you need anything done from cards, invitations, or just a fun photo, she is great! She truly captured the essence of TSC and what I am all about (big sunnies and all )

Hair Talk

A couple weeks ago someone wrote to me and asked me for hair tips, ideas, and inspiration. If you follow you know that I have so much hair, so much that about a month ago I cut off 5 inches because I couldn't handle it anymore. However I MISS MY LONG HAIR.

My hair routine is simple, yet extremely vital to keeping your hair healthy. I use Aveda products for shampoo and conditioner and depending on the season and color, it will vary on which product you should use. After my shower I put in Moroccan oil, and an Aveda leave in conditioner. I don't own a blow dryer so I ALWAYS let my hair air dry ( that is the secret to healthy hair). When I do feel like dolling up I use a wand to curl my hair it is much easier than a curling iron, and I am much more into the natural beach waves. Blonde hair is hard to keep blonde so I wash my hair every 2 days, and on the off days I use Suave dry shampoo (LIFE SAVER).  BUT the best way to getting healthy hair is chopping it off and letting it grow out and be healthy as it is. That is the truth!

       SURPRISE!

      This is the official new page of my new blog The Sweet Couturist written styled and photographed by me! TwiceMarie had 3 good years, but it was time for the TM girls to move forward and this is it. This change is going to be major for me, and I wanted to thank everyone who has ever continued to follow me, and inspire me to write everyday. Although Ashley has moved on, and left the blog to me, she will continue to be my right hand, eye, and obviously bff <3

Travel Guide

         I have spent the last 2 weeks of my life on 7 different planes. To say I am a professional travler is an understatement. When it comes to traveling I like to dress comfy, but let's be honest you never know who you could meet in the airport- so don't look like a slob-ka-bob.


        This is my most recent airport look- with my NEW OBSESSION my Gap jacket& no matter how annoying airport security is- I always drape on the jewelery.

                 After finishing a project that has been MONTHS in the making, it sure feels amazing to be able to finally share it with the world. You have seen me blog about SilverSeed leggings before, and now I can say I have collaborated with them and made my own line. I am so thankful and excited for this opportunity and hope you all like what you see! I am even on the homepage of their website with a little bio about me, with fun facts as well. I never imagined I would be able to create and make pieces for people to wear, let alone anyone would buy them! This is so surreal and I am just happy to be able to say I wear my own designs. I hope you all are as excited and eager to wear these pieces as I am.

                This line was inspired by old southwestern aztec pieces. From flea market rugs, to aztec prints, and turquoise beads we really had fun making it. Not only are there leggings, but this is a first for SilverSeed to do skirts, dresses, and bikinis. I am so excited to share with y'all and hope you all go buy them. Easter Eggs

     This years Easter was more festive than ever. My family headed south to Cabo to celebrate the holiday. I was reunited with all my little nieces and nephews all while getting to see baby bunnies on Easter! The highlight of Easter was my youngest sister and I wearing matching dresses, like we were 5 years old again. Not usually one of my favorite colors, but for the sake of the Easter eggs I decided one day decked out in hot pink wouldn't kill me. I love my family more than anything, and this weekend helped me realize how lucky I am(we missed you Marie). We should all be so thankful every single day. My parents& sisters mean the world to me, and although we are so VERY different, I am blessed to have 4 psycho sisters who understand me.....and sometimes let me dress them!

Celine me alone

        The sun is shinning ladies!!  But that doesn't mean sometimes I just cannot be        
              bothered. Somedays you are just having one of those days. And when you are
                  having one of those days you wear a jeans and t-shirt. My t-shirt happened to
                    say something along the lines of 'leave me alone'...just a little bit more chic.
                The shirt was a gift, and it may be one of the best gifts. Jeans and 
            a t-shirt are always a good combo and why not throw in a hat to really 
          make sure no one bothers you...but really coffe sunnies& a hat are like my 
                                                       own personal body guard.

Daily Routine

      I recently had a request to do a post on my everyday hair and make up routine. Despite what it may appear as I wear very little makeup, and very rarely do my hair. I do not own a blowdryer or a straighter and you can usually find my hair natural or on special occasion curled. For my hair I use Moroccan Oil and Bumble and Bumble surf spray which I put in after every shower. Then usually with the Arizona heat it will dry naturally. Sometimes you will find me rocking the half up half down do, and I think I may be the only one in the world who still does it.
    For my everyday face routine it is a little more complex. I use all the Fresh products for washing and moisturizing. I use the High noon tinted moisturizer first then apply my Chanel powder. Then Guerlain bronzer to my cheeks and jawline (sometimes I'll ad my Mac Mineral Skinfinish) and always my Nars blush. I always have my YSL lipsticks with me and Revlon clear gloss for over. I think YSL lipstick saves lives!! Maybelline liquid eyeliner on the top& mascara then I am ready. For everyday wear I find less is more, plus who has time to take 2 hours to get ready.

T.G.I. Spring

   

            Spring has sprung! My best friend came over to borrow clothes the other day and said "Everytime I look into your closet there is more and more black...." so this spring I am trying my best to wear more color! My floral pants from H&M were a good start, but they are so amazing how can you not love. This is the happiest time of the year so let's all celebrate by going and buying something bright and happy, or maybe something that isn't black on black on black!

Silver Linings

      These photos are the reason why I love Arizona. We are in February and I am in shorts drinking a venti green tea by the water. Playing by the water was a nice change, but the Prada bag and cut offs make the day that much better. Photographer Lauren Meyer and I almost jumped in after shooting it was so hot. Let the cut offs season & fun in the sun begin.

50 Shades of Black

     I love black. There is no way to deny that. Black and white, black and silver, and more importantly black and gold. All black everything all day everyday if I could. Even though Arizona is extremely sunny and always hot I manage to still incorporate black into my everyday life, no matter what the temperature. Prada sunnies, aztec print dress from Urban outfitters and my Isabel Marant sneakers make it pretty easy to love black.
