Va Va Voom

Recently I was introduced the newest, coolest idea, surprisingly it has nothing to do with fashion, but I thought it would be a good chance of pace to blog about. This is a place where you can go to get your hair blow dried and done up, while having cocktails, snacking on gourmet treats, and being entertained by classic movies such as Sex and the City. This place is called Dry Bar. A chic and modern atmosphere that made you feel like Hollywood glamour. Little menus were handed out with cocktails names that described a certain hair do. A bar rapped around the inside, with chairs placed all the way around leading to a back room where the shampoo-ing was done.
I thought it was brilliant, and the second I walked in I couldn't help but start taking pictures.

Hope you enjoy :)

The Best Day.

Not only is it a beautiful sunny day in Arizona, but it is my best friend/ co-blogger Ashley's birthday. I LOVE celebrating birthdays and it kills me that I can't be there so I decided I would take it to the blog to celebrate. In honor of Ash I put some of my favorite quotes by our idol, Carrie Bradshaw, and some pieces that I thought she would love.

Happy Birthday A!

enjoy everyone&have a wonderful day.

As we drive along this road called life, occasionally a gal will find herself a little lost. And when that happens, I guess she has to let go of the coulda, shoulda, woulda, buckle up and just keep going.

Maybe our mistakes are what make our fate.

After all, computers crash, people die, relationships fall apart. The best we can do is breath and reboot.

When it comes to life and love, why do we believe our worst reviews?

Happy Easter

I know it's late and Easter is almost over, however,  I had to share my festive weekend. I spent my Easter weekend like a true southern belle, at the horse races! My boyfriend's fraternity had a day at the races theme and, if anything says spring time it's bright dresses and sun hats. The boys kept it just as classy with outfits resembling that of an Easter egg.  The weather could not have been better, and although I ended up losing money, it was a great start to spring. Waking up today to beautiful Arizona weather, I picked out my Easter day dress and was ready for church. A white T-Bags dress topped off with a tan belt, my tan Tory Burch flats  and my pale green Chloe bag was the final verdict.  Our brunch consisted of Ihop, which I couldn't have been happier about.

I'm now about to make my easter cupcakes and wind down with some Housewives of Orange County.

Interview

After getting a call from Tommy Hilfiger in New York for a summer internship, my initial thought was “What am I going to wear to the interview!” When Shopbop.com came out with styling tips for a leather skirt, one outfit stood out to me. This camel colored skirt with a basic navy blazer. BRILLIANT! This, along with two other outfits, will be the cherry on top of a fabulous interview.

Outfit #1

  1. EDUN - Mixed Print Shirtdress

Outfit #2

  1. Haute Hippie - Long Sleeve Romper

Outfit #3

  1. Graham & Spencer - Leather Skirt - in camel
  2. List of Items in outfit
  3. SMYTHE - Spring Cadet Jacket

Easter Dressing

Unfortunately (and fortunately) for me, I have one week of classes left, so Easter will be spent in front of the computer, cranking out projects before the semester ends. But, I can still imagine what I would wear on this very warm day.

Not being able to go home, I would spend the holiday with my boyfriend’s family, whom I always dress up for. With kids and confetti eggs around, I would wear something bright and cheery I can run around in, like these pieces from Shopbop.com.

Hope y’all have a fabulous Easter!

  2. Patterson J. Kincaid - Kayla Sleeveless Button Down - in black

Ultimate Closet

My mom is in town for my birthday weekend. As always, I open multiple tabs of all my favorite blogs, shopping websites, Style.com, etc. She says "Ooh cute clothes. What website is that?" And then follows with, "Duh. Why would I even ask."

One of my absolute favorite websites, Shopbop.com, has daily style trends and outfits that I obsess over. (I have over 400 pictures in a folder on my desktop of my favorites). Today, they came out with the Ultimate Closet, where they take key pieces from their closet and put together multiple, stylish, and very different ensembles for everyday of the week. With bright red skinny jeans, a cutoff sweater, pointed pumps, maxi trousers, etc... They have put together my favorite collection I can enjoy all season.

Thank god it's Thursday.

Thank god it's Thursday.
As I sit on the couch with my easter candy I can't help but listen to my two roommates panic about what they are going to wear tonight. Usually on a Thursday I would be blasting the latest top hits in my room while screaming "y'all I have nothing to wear!!" But tonight I just sit and listen. In my mind I can imagine what I would dress each of them in, if I wasn't so lazy. Both tower over my 5'2 frame with their 5'8 and 6 foot tall slender bodies, but I always seem to put in my two cents.

As they walk out the door this is what I come up with. I die for black, obviously, and between see through tops and fringe it's basically love! Whenever in doubt of a "dull" outfit, find something bold. A necklace or ring that makes others stare.

Almost Sunny

Current temp in Boston, MA: 54 degrees, partly cloudy/ windy.

Its the perfect day to stuff your oversized coats in the back of the closet and pull out your white jeans and designer jacket you've been dying to wear since October. Still, the wind will you get you tugging on your sleeves. It's been a rough winter, we deserve a little sunshine and change of wardrobe.

So ignore the chilly wind and embrace Spring because it's arriving fashionably late but always in style.

Now what?

Ashley Marie Perez. A Taurus, who is strong willed and loves the color black. My best friend and my fashion icon. Whether it's Alexander Wang or DVF she rocks it. She is a modern day Jackie-O with a twist of edge. From pea-coats to studs she always makes a statement. Not to mention her Carrie Bradshaw shoe collection. Braving the cold in Boston allows Ashley to rock the snow in style. Tall leather boots and Burberry coats are just a few of her must-haves.

Sara Marie Cusick. A Scorpio, passionate and vintage obsessed guru. Some would call me a diva, not quite . I just have an unexplainable love for fashion. Dramatic describes me perfectly. Personality, style, and word choice I take everything to an extreme. Nicole Richie the Olsen twins and Whitney Port are just a few of my icons. Currently living in Arizona, allows me to have a California-beachy meets girly boho chic kind of style.

We hope that within our blog you get a look at our passions (food, clothes, music, traveling and photography) like you've never seen before!
