Summer Flats

We all know that heels can give a girl serious confidence and sometimes {most of the time} make an outfit. But, my feet are saying ABSOLUTELY NO in this heat wave. Walking alongside my little sister last weekend in Chicago made me remember how chic an outfit can look with the right flat. So, give your heels a break! I've come up with a list of my favorite flats your feet will be happy about and pics of who got it right.

1. I've always had an obsession with leopard print. Wearing this print on your feet make your outfit anything but boring.

Color Me Blind

My new city.

Finally. My first trip of the summer, and it is to Malaga, SPAIN! I've had numerous requests on what I'm going to pack for Spain, and how to wear long skirts for the summer, so I thought I would combine the two. This will be my last blog for ten days so BE WARE this is packed this with a lot of information!
Here are some outfits I put together that are almost exact to what I will be taking to Spain.

Swap out your blue jeans for some Bold colored ones! Color is in, whether its jean shorts or skinnys do it!

Maxi dresses are heavenly. They are super comfortable and easy. I know what everyone is thinking, and I don't want to hear it...YOU CAN pull it off! People think they have to be 5 foot to where them, and they are called maxi for a reason tall girls! Try pairing it with a vest of some sort, or a jacket.

 LONG SKIRTS ARE AMAZE! Go get one NOW! These are very in right now, and ANYONE can wear them. The thing is with fashion, ff you don't think you can pull it off then you probably won't. If you have the confidence to wear something, and not care what other people think, you will SHINE! Match it with either loose fitted cropped top, or a flowy top under a belt. You don't want to drown in it, so try and show your figure. I have 3 different long skirts, and I am OBSESSED, and plan on wearing all of them( and both of my maxi dresses) in Spain. The Hills Meet Heaven.

Ever since I was little my dad has always been the most inspirational person I know. From texts, to emails, to words of wisdom he is truly an amazing person. He has always taught me that no matter what, if I have a vision or a dream, I can make it happen. I think that is something everyone should abide by. Don't ever listen to anyone who tells you you can't do something. Chances are they are jealous, or just want to see you fail.

Most recently I have been in the middle of a world wind at home. My family has just become the new owners of a resort in our hometown.  My dad partnered with long time friend and country music legend George Strait. Together they are turning this hotel, which had suffered for so long, into an amazing vision. I am part of the marketing team at The Resort at Tapatio Springs. My job is to go into local businesses and try and sell our creation on them. Nerve wrecking yes, but exciting as well. I figured that what better way to market the new hotel than on the blog. I always like to switch it up from fashion, and this is one all people can relate to, or make their next vacation spot! Read more below to get the full story. Monday Music

Sky with Diamonds

I've always been obsessed with the 60's ad 70's. Ever since I can remember I've been fascinated with the whole way of life. The clothes, people, and the music are so amazing, I just wish I could have been apart of it. Not until I discovered vintage photographs of my mother did I really realize how much I loved the decades. She was the ideal flower child.  In her class pictures she resembles that of Twiggy. Thin, with long blonde hair parted right down the middle, micromini or babydoll dress, and make up that makes her look like the girl with kalediscope eyes. She was iconic.
In highschool I wrote a paper on Woodstock, which involved intense researching, and after that I knew I was meant to be a hippy child. Whether it's the Beatles, or the bohemian-hippy-bold fashion, something about that era grabs me. Those who know my secret vices will say that it is completely normal to walk into my room, and see me laying on the bed with candles lit listening to the best of the Beatles (a secret that now everyone knows). Their music is never going to go out of style. It seems that everyday something old becomes a new trend. Mostly in music and fashion, but even the mentality seems to be making a comeback.

Inspiration

I can't define myself as being in a single trend category [boho, edgy,

classic]. I enjoy wearing black silk shorts with grey knit sweaters

and black flip flops. Simple. Kinda boring. I'm starting to get more

inspiration from different sources, such as Taylor Tomasi Hill.

I absolutely adore her style. She mixed different colors, patterns,

textures and styles to get something that is perfectly her.

I'm amazed how many rings Vanessa Hudgens can't fit on her fingers.

She always seems to be wearing at least 3 on each hand. I love the

random assortment she has on at once. From small and simple to

oversized. I love it. And am inspired.
